Nicole is a registered clinical psychologist under the Health Practitioners Competence Assurance Act (2003). She has over 6 years clinical experience working for the Northland District Health Board with both adults and adolescents.
Nicole was raised in the Far North and has close ties to the community. She can provide psychological assessment, diagnosis and evidence based treatment for a variety of mental health and emotional difficulties.
Nicole aims to create a friendly and safe environment where she can work collaboratively with people to gain a shared understanding of their difficulties and together create a plan whereby they can learn new skills and strategies to help them move forward. Her approach to therapy is guided by a number of evidence-based therapy modalities including, but not limited to Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).
Nicole has a breadth of experience working with people who have experienced trauma and complex trauma. Her practice is based in the Far North (Doubtless Bay and Kaitaia) and part time in Kerikeri.
