Sarah is a trauma-informed counsellor and ACC registered therapist under Sensitive Claims and is based in South Auckland, Pukekohe. Sarah works with male and female adults who have experienced sexual abuse and sexual assault who are navigating the ongoing impacts of trauma.

She offers a calm, supportive, and non-judgemental space where clients can feel safe to talk openly and be themselves. Sarah understands that reaching out for support can feel hard, and works at a pace that feels manageable for each person.

Sarah’s work involves supporting clients with the effects of trauma, including complex trauma (CPTSD), anxiety (including intrusive thoughts and OCD), and depression as well as emotional regulation, shame, self-worth, identity, anger, addictions, and suicidal distress.

She works in a relational, humanistic way, drawing on Trauma-Informed CBT (TI-CBT), parts work (including inner child work), person-centred and strengths-based approaches, somatic and grounding strategies, and Māori and Pacific models of wellbeing through a holistic approach to support all areas of wellbeing.

Sarah is committed to a culturally responsive practice and values connection to wairua, whakapapa, and identity. She engages in regular cultural supervision to support safe and respectful practice with Māori and diverse communities and is also rainbow (LGBTQIA+) affirming.

Specialised training in sexual harm, suicide intervention (ASIST a range of workshops and NZAC professional learning supporting culturally responsive practice, including working with Māori and Pacific clients, neurodiversity, and complex trauma.
