Who Can Access ACC Sensitive Claims Support?

ACC Sensitive Claims support is available to anyone who has experienced sexual abuse, sexual assault, or sexual violence in New Zealand. In some circumstances, New Zealand residents who experienced sexual violence overseas may also be eligible.

Whether the experience happened recently or many years ago, we can support you to find a suitable therapist. ACC recognises that people seek support when they feel ready, and funding may be available regardless of when the abuse or assault happened. You do not need to report the incident to Police or your GP to access ACC-funded therapy.
