Giselle Tomkins Troy

Psychotherapist

Kerikeri

Giselle is a registered psychodynamic psychotherapist working with adults aged 18 years and over. She offers a thoughtful, relational, and depth-oriented approach to therapy. Giselle supports people to explore the underlying patterns, emotions, and experiences that shape how they relate to themselves and others, with the aim of fostering greater understanding, self-connection, and meaningful, lasting change.

Giselle brings over 20 years of experience working alongside people across a broad range of life experiences and difficulties, including trauma (such as sexual abuse), anxiety, relational challenges, grief and loss, life transitions, living with illness, and experiences relating to alcohol and other drugs. She values working with people from many cultural backgrounds and communities, including LGBTQIA+ communities, and aims to provide a space which is respectful, inclusive, and attuned to each person’s unique experience and identity.

Her approach is gentle, collaborative, and responsive, creating a space where people can feel safe to explore what may often feel complex, vulnerable, or difficult to put into words. Giselle welcomes the whole person into the therapeutic space, including cultural identity, spirituality, personal meaning, and the wider contexts that shape our lives.
