Christine is an experienced Counsellor and Family Therapist with over 18 years of practice in Auckland, working alongside individuals, young people, and families across a wide range of cultural and social contexts.
She has been privileged to walk alongside clients during some of the most challenging periods of their lives, supporting them to deepen their self-understanding, strengthen their relationships, and move toward meaningful and sustainable change.
Her practice is grounded in the belief that healing and growth occur within a safe, respectful, and culturally responsive environment. Christine is committed to creating a therapeutic space where clients feel heard, valued, and empowered to share their stories without fear of judgment. She recognises each person’s journey is unique, shaped by their experiences, identity, and environment, and tailors her approach thoughtfully to meet your individual needs, strengths, and goals.
Christine brings specific expertise in working with at-risk adolescentsand their whānau within the Youth Justice system, where she has developed a strong understanding of the complex factors that contribute to behavioural challenges and family distress. In addition, she offers extensive experience supporting individuals navigating a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, anger regulation, relationship difficulties, parenting challenges, grief and loss, trauma, intergenerational trauma, post-traumatic stress, and the impacts of sexual abuse.
Her therapeutic approach is collaborative, strengths-based, and trauma-informed. Christine works alongside clients to help them build insight into their thoughts, emotions, and behavioural patterns, while also equipping them with practical tools and strategies to manage distress and respond to challenges in more adaptive ways.
Central to her work is a focus on fostering resilience, restoring a sense of agency, and supporting clients to reconnect with their inherent strengths. Christine believes that every individual has the capacity for growth and positive change. She sees her role is by supporting you to uncover that potential, strengthening your sense of self, and building a foundation for lasting wellbeing and healthier relationships.
